M.Tech. (Computer Science) (5 Years)
Objective:
The M. Tech. (Computer Science) 5 Years Integrated Dual Degree Programme is proposed to be a holistic, research-oriented programme that will offer students a smooth academic transition from basic computer science knowledge to advanced technological specialization. Spanning five years (ten semesters), this programme will combine the core strengths of a traditional B.Tech with the depth and rigor of an M.Tech, eliminating the need for separate admissions and transition between undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
The curriculum is designed to build both breadth and depth in computer science studies. It includes basic computer science courses during the initial semesters like programming, digital electronics, data structures, and operating systems – along with advanced subjects such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, quantum computing, and big data analytics. Students will also undertake rigorous project-based learning, industry internships, and research methodology training, culminating in a full-year apprenticeship training/industry training in fourth year.
In addition to technical proficiency, the programme emphasizes professional skills such as communication, ethics, teamwork, and leadership—essential for success in a rapidly evolving global tech landscape.
